Offer status: Disabled by Takealot
Definition
An Offer that has been disabled by Takealot (detailed reasons as to why this can occur and remedial actions required are listed below) and is no longer buyable on Takealot.
Your products will be placed in a Disabled by Takealot state by our Seller Support or Seller Compliance team. This could be for any of the following reasons:
- the product is in violation of our terms and conditions
- there is an issue with the product information or stock
- your account is in violation of our terms and conditions
- any other reason determined by Takealot
You can easily find the "Disabled Reason" next to your offer in the Product Details Column on the Manage my Offers page. Additionally, when exporting your offers, the Offers Export will include "Disabled by Takealot Reasons" for every offer that has been disabled.
If your offer has been disabled, we recommend reviewing the table below, which will provide you with explanations and the next steps on what you should do to be compliant and, where applicable, allow for the re-enablement of your offer. Please note that your offer cannot be updated until the issue has been resolved.

SLA Customer Invoice Request | A Seller is required to respond to a Customer Invoice Request within a maximum of two business days. Parallel Import |
A genuine product that is imported and sold in a country through unofficial or unauthorised channels. As per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) requires Sellers to clearly indicate that the product is a parallel import before it can be sold on takealot.com. |

Product Recall | When a manufacturer or retailer or regulatory authority initiates a recall of a product due to safety concerns, quality issues, or regulatory non-compliance. Matching Product Offers Inaccurately | When listing items for sale using an existing product detail page, the product being offered must be listed against a product detail page that accurately describes the product in all respects. This would include the following attributes: manufacturer, edition, binding, version, format, or player/device compatibility. Sellers may not match their item to a detail page with a different ISBN, UPC/EAN, or other external identifiers. | You will need to match your offer to the correct product or create a new listing. |

Trademark Not Authorised |
The CIPC trademark owner has not selected you to use their brand. |
Contact the trademark owner directly to ask them to "opt" you into being an authorised user of this brand by updating their trademark details on Takealot. Alternatively, provide Takealot with the following attachments via the Contact Form: A recent invoice showing 10 units or more or R20 000 purchase OR a letter from the trademark owner allowing you to use this brand. Unsuitable Product - Inflated Selling Price |
The selling price is inflated relative to the general retail market prices measured over 90 days and, therefore, deemed an Unsuitable Product as defined in our Seller T&Cs. |

Archived |
Your offer is linked to a product that has been archived and discontinued. This product has been archived due to two years of inactivity, during which there were no sales and no stock available. |

Why am I not seeing a reason for my disabled product?
There may be instances where you cannot see the disabled by Takealot reason. These offers were disabled through a manual process before the release of this new feature. In cases like these, where historical data doesn’t readily display the reason for the disabled offers, please get in touch with the support team for more information.
